Janis Joplin/Mind Mapping

April 2, 2015

I came early to the school and saw this beautiful sunrise. 
In class we started to work and we had to exchange ideas of the connections that we had in our mind mappings. I share my ideas in Leo, Minli, and Virginia's mid mapping. During this process we were listened Janis Joplin which was inspire me to connected more ideas on my classmate work. When we finish we started talked between classmate about the different languages, religions, and dance until the teacher came to class. It was fun to talk and collaborated in other works. Finally, the professor gave the homework of the mind mapping.







We have to identify the connections.

- Discover new meaning created through common associations
- Article a design  
- Prepare a design

Later on...

1. Describe design opportunity.
2. Intended communication experience and audience.
3. Influence on behavior
4. How/What you will fulfill the experience.

So, I'm looking forward to the next step!!!!


April's Fool

I started to work in my mind mapping. I printed out the essential words (Answer, Bolshevik, and Watch) and I putted in the middle of the paper started to make connections. Anyways. When I started do this process my brain started work different. In one moment I feel really frustrated because I don't know when this process begin being annoying. I talked with my classmates and I explained my situation and they told me that this will fine and I had to keep going. So, I used post it because I was thinking that will be a good idea using colors to represent the main words, and will be easy to edit too. In addition the connection I did using a string which was so fun using this method. Finally, I figured out that the during the process was fun and really productive. Also, I realize that, I repeated some words that were in different categories. How cool is that!!!!



Magazines, scissors, and glue.

We had to bring magazines, scissors, and glue. This elements that will help us to add more words, but this occasion was different we had to add tres more words, one color, and one image. In total will be nine words, six colors, and six images. The final process for this is not still revealed for us, but the teacher said that we have to think and look into the design because that will make the different between designers. If we look into the design the final solution will be more interesting. For this reason, we have to use image or colors that affect the design with a good purpose. 

The Collins Quarter

I met with my partner Virginia at 10 in the morning in this new restaurant called "The Collins Quarter". It was great time to share our ideas and experience in SCAD. Anyways, we talked a lot of the ideas that we have for our future and the desire to be a great professional as a Graphic Design. So, we started to work in our words and we added 60 words to each other. Fun Friday!!!!




20 minutes

March 26. 2015

The class was special and really productive because we had to add more words to the original words looking for connections that the principal words bring to our mind.





After every connections with had 20 minutes of break walking around the streets that surround the building. In every session we listened music to relaxing an opened our minds. 






After this process the professor gave a partner who with can collaborate more bringing more ideas and to our words. My partner is Virginia England.


Idiot Box

March 24, 2015

First Day of school. First day of the class 702. The teacher is really nice. She gave the first assignment related with three words that she choose according to what were thinking, our birthday, and the position on the roll. My words are WATCH, BOLSHEVIK, and ANSWER.

The meaning of my words are:

Watch: 
noun: a small timepiece worn typically on a strap on one's wrist.
verb: look at or observe attentively, typically over a period of time.

Bolshevik:
a member of the majority faction of the Russian Social Democratic Party, which was renamed the Communist Party after seizing power in the October Revolution of 1917.

Answer:
noun: a thing said, written, or done to deal with or as a reaction to a question, statement, or situation.
verb: say or write something to deal with or as a reaction to someone or something.

Also, we watched couple videos about creativity, even more we watched a video about how we can use IMAGINATION, so we watched Spongebob. The Episode is called "The Idiot Box."
