Shower of the destiny!!! 2legit to quit!!!!

I went to bed late last night actually was today!!! So, I slept 2 hours!!! I wake up with this feeling of my idea for my project. My feeling was that I have to present something in class because is time to do something. While, I was in the shower I had this awesome thought!!! What about is I do a video where the apple is changing according to the music that make the apple manipulated for the human being.

It sounded awesome!!!! Actually, I could believe that this ideas came in the shower!!! WEIRD!! but is completely legit!!! 2legit to quit!!!

I presented this idea to my classmate they loved and they gave me more ideas about my plan. Now, I feel WAY AWESOME!!!

BLOWING MY MIND!!!

it's still Monday and still working in my idea!!! I went thought of the comments in Facebook and they don't convence me at all, except for one comment that called my attention.

I think my idea now has color and powerful meaning that I was looking for. I mean my idea will be related to the decomposition of the meaning and the apple is not a natural fruit. Apple is something else!!! Now, I feel better but I need to look for the right medium and I think that book a medium that want to use a priority!!!! 

Going to somewhere!!

That is crazy in 3 days my ideas are all over!!! To much thinking I think. So, Friday It was an awesome day, but now I don't feel that this ideas can support my real intention.

Today is Monday!!! I decided to do a survey with different people from high Schools, SCAD students and friends. I decided to do this. I use Network to express what they think about the concept of apple. I went to FACEBOOK and put this question in English and Spanish.

It was a fun experiment this survey because everyone has a different perception of an apple. Even more, Hispanics answer this question without problem instead the American were less helper. However, the answers of this little survey help to follow a path. Actually, now I'm lost again.

Saturday is not my day!!

Friday it was a good day of inspiration, but now I don't feel quite there. Why? I don't know. I went to Michaels to get more inspiration. I walked there and I bought canvas but one of my ideas. I hope this going well.

Friday morning at MUSEUM. Friday Afternoon at the BEACH

Friday morning

I meet with my partner Virginia to collaborate in our projects at the SCAD museum. I came with my unclear idea and insecurity. That's look like a real problem because I think that everyone in my class have a really good idea, but I'm still working in this. However I made a mock up of this idea, but it feel no quit there. So, we talked about this with Virginia and she was a good supported. She gave more ideas about this mock up. I was thinking in work with APPLES. 

With my partner decided to came here because we need more inspiration. The expositions inside the museum are amazing. We spend more than a hour looking Oscar de la Renta, Xu Bing, and Ryoji Ikeda and I was amazed. I was before there last quarter, but in this time I was looking for a better idea and finally something pop up. I was watching a video installation of Xu Bing about the creation of cigarettes and the perceptions of this object. IT BLEW MY MIND!!! literally!!! When we went out I felt how the creativity works and how my feeling changed about my word (SYMBOLS).

After this I talked with Virginia about the ideas that I got about using an apple as a concept of the meaning. Now I don't know how to figured out how to do that because the whole information that I can get will be to broad or repeated. Anyways we worked in some meanings and this is what we got.

Apple could be anything related with different experiences that people have. Apple could be a symbol of the evolution of the mankind. Now I feel really good about this project.

Friday Afternoon

I took my sketch book and my mechanical pencil and I went to the beach for relax and inspiration. I spend at least 3 hours in the beach thinking about this project and meaning of my symbol (APPLE). In this state of relax and peace help me to understand the real proposal of my project. So, I came out with three different process and use of the environment as a medium.

Collecting meaning around the apple and could be a lot!!!

Put objects around of the apple. Of course this process will have a lot of perceptions from people that will see this project.

How to put words around the apple?
I thought use magazines playing with typefaces as a Rompe huesos, but more interesting and use physical objects.

Process 2

Use an apple and paint a portrait of this fruit. Actually, use the process of decomposition of the apple and painting in a different canvas that will be explain this process that the apple going through.

Another IDEA on the IDEA

When the painting are done go and ask people about their perceptions of meaning of the apple. According, their idea put elements around the apple.

Process 3

Stick with my mock up and make an apple based of the data. The data will make a a beautiful shape that symbolize the people believe. Sound really utopian!!!

Now, I feel so much better about my ideas!!! good ideas and good day!!!!

Curiosity killed the cat but not ME!!!

Ok!!!!!! After thinking for a while about this project I came out with a lots of ideas, but the only problem that I have is that are no quit there. I will still explore about this word. Actually, the profesor told us that we have to BE CURIOUS. I'm tried to be more curious about my word (Symbols). I presented my idea to the class and everyone liked, but I feel that is not enough because doesn't have a deep conceptualization.

My first idea was take pictures to objects that people use every day because somewhat represent them. My problem with this idea is something that not make me crazy. I feel that is not quite complete and powerful. My classmate told me that is an interesting idea, so it is sometimes about perceptions, behaviors, meaning, and contextualization. In addition, the use of the media in this project have interesting too. I was thinking in design a book full of pictures of this objects. However, my problem is that I have to look for the right direction and then the media will be the big helper. Anyways, I think I need to BE MORE CURIOUS.

PS. In class I used this analogy how an apple has change the meaning. When people think about apple, think about the company and not in the fruit. The professor told me maybe I can play more with apple or look for other options like roses, light bulbs or play with stereotypes. Also, she advice me that maybe my audience is not only SCAD students and could me middle schoolers. In addition, she talked about the metamorphosis of the elements. That shake my mind a lot.
